How ACOs are trying to improve patients' health by addressing nonmedical needs

(The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice) In a first-of-its-kind study, researchers from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the School of Public Health at UC Berkeley investigated whether new value-based payment models have spurred providers to address patients' nonmedical needs, such as housing, transportation and food insecurity.
