(Medical University of South Carolina) Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina, in collaboration with South Carolina State University, opened a clinical trial in Jan. 2018 to investigate the role of lifestyle factors on advanced glycation end products and disease recurrence in prostate cancer survivors. The trial aims to determine whether a decrease in advanced glycation end products through dietary and exercise intervention can improve quality of life and decrease tumor recurrence in these patients.
