(SAGE) New research, published in the UEG Journal, assessed the burden associated with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea by surveying 513 patients and 679 healthcare professionals. A quarter of patients reported that IBS stops them from enjoying life and 11 percent agreed with the statement; 'when my IBS is bad, I wish I was dead'.
