One in 10 IBS with diarrhoea patients wish they were dead when their condition is bad

(SAGE) New research, published in the UEG Journal, assessed the burden associated with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea by surveying 513 patients and 679 healthcare professionals. A quarter of patients reported that IBS stops them from enjoying life and 11 percent agreed with the statement; 'when my IBS is bad, I wish I was dead'.
