(Pensoft Publishers) Environmental pollution in Russia increases along with economic growth, but only until it reaches a certain threshold, from where it starts to decrease, demonstrates a recent study published in the open-access Russian Journal of Economics by Prof. Natalya Ketenci, Yeditepe University. Using data from 1991-2016, she also looks into the impact and causality of key determinants for CO2 emissions. As a result, the author provides new recommendations to policy makers in Russia.
