(American Federation for Aging Research) Since 2005, the Breakthroughs in Gerontology (BIG) Awards, administered by the American Federation for Aging Research, have provided more than $5,800,000 to 32 investigators nationwide. Awardees are selected by a committee of distinguished scientists working in the field of aging research.
