John “Juan” Luque (Georgia Southern U) was awarded (as PI) two grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The first project is a two-year R21 grant, funded by the NIH Office of the Director and administered by the National Cancer Institute, to test the efficacy of a community health worker program to increase cervical cancer screening among Latina immigrants. The second project is a two-year R03 grant, funded by the National Cancer Institute, to evaluate a large cervical cancer screening initiative in Cusco, Peru.
