Study: Safety net programs don't support high rates of trauma in participants

(Drexel University) A recent study by researchers from Drexel University's Center for Hunger-Free Communities found that a high number of participants in a federal cash assistance program have suffered significant childhood adversity, exposure to violence as adults and other poverty-related stressors, highlighting the need to take participants' past trauma into account.
