(Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center) Research has uncovered a new use for an established drug as a therapy for an age-old health problem. Nearly all Americans drink alcoholic beverages, but unfortunately many struggle with what physicians now describe as Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). AUD includes problematic drinking such as binge and chronic consumption, with both increasing risk for poor health, including death.
