(Drexel University) A review of medical records from 412 organ transplant recipients revealed marked racial differences in post-transplant dermatologic disease. Most skin cancers in black patients occurred in sun-protected areas, such as the genitals. The findings suggest that nonwhite patients need specialized care that is focused on race-associated risk factors.
