Dartmouth institute receives $2.1 million for project to help women with uterine fibroids

(The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice) Researchers at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice received a $2.1 million funding award from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to implement a pilot project that could help women with uterine fibroids make decisions about treatment options. The team plans to incorporate new research findings about the comparative effectiveness of treatment options into a multi-component shared decision making (SDM) strategy for women seeking treatment for uterine fibroids at five diverse pilot sites.
