End-of-life decision-making for people with intellectual disabilities

(University at Buffalo) There has been little research on end-of-life decision-making for the growing population of older Americans with intellectual disabilities.Through a series of interviews with five different emergency medical service agencies in upstate New York, UB researchers asked EMS providers specifically how pre-hospital orders shape what they do in the case of someone with an intellectual disability.
