(University of Luxembourg) Scientists at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust of the University of Luxembourg have developed an important mathematical algorithm called 'Equihash,' Equihash is a core component for the new cryptocurrency Zcash, which offers more privacy and equality than the famous Bitcoin. Zcash came into operation as an experimental technology for a community-driven digital currency in late 2016.
